There are many ways in which you can get involved and make a difference:
Volunteer with us
Volunteering within your community can provide a wide range of benefits (not just to us!). Volunteering has been found to provide an increased sense of personal achievement and purpose, it can increase feelings of inclusion within a community, improve self-esteem and confidence, combat stress, loneliness, social isolation and depression, help meet new people and feel more connected. Giving to others can help protect both mental and physical health.
Volunteers are an integral part of our success. We work with a wide range of volunteers from all walks of life, bringing their own experience, expertise, culture and passions to make the Centre and the work we do more vibrant and accessible for the community we serve.
Read what our volunteers have to say about working with us.
If you would like to volunteer with us please either call in (9am-1pm Monday – Friday) or email us at cutteslowecca@gmail.com.
Donate
We receive no direct funding from City or County Council and are entirely dependent on income from room hire, grant funding and donations to keep our doors open, our lights on, our staff paid and our activities running. We have an average annual turnover of around £100,000 per year. We generate around £20,000 of this from room hire with the remaining £80,000 dependent on grant funding and donations. This is an ongoing issue for us as we love what we do and would love to continue all of the fantastic programmes we have established in previous years as well as expand our provision to reach more of the people living in hardship in one way or another within our community.
If you would like to make a donation to the Community Centre’s ongoing provision either as a one off donation or a monthly/annual donation you can do so via bank transfer, PayPal or Just Giving. Details are outlined on our “donate” page. (link to donate)
If you are a UK Taxpayer we can claim 25% GiftAid for donations, the form can be found here and returned to us at: cutteslowe.finance@gmail.com OR to the Centre via post at: Cutteslowe Community Centre, 31 Wren Road, Oxford, OX2 7SX.
Thank you for your ongoing support and generosity, every penny truly does count!
Skill Sharing
Do you have a skill or passion that you could pass on to others in the community? If so we would love to work with you to make this happen! In the past we have had members of the community deliver:

We will help you with DBS checks (if appropriate), adding you to our insurance (if appropriate), Risk Assessing, publicity and promotion and planning if needed.

Could you help us fundraise? This could happen in a variety of ways:
- If you are an experienced fundraiser and could help with grant applications
- If you have an idea for a fundraising event/activity that you would like to work with us to deliver please come and have a chat
- Could you bake for our regular fundraising bake sales?
Become a Friend/Member of the Centre
By becoming a Friend of the Community Centre you will get (semi)regular updates about activities and events coming up. By becoming a Member of the Centre you are invited to join us at our AGM each year and will get voting rights to help us shape the future provision of the Centre as well as voting in Trustees etc.
To become a Friend/Member you will need to complete and return this form and we ask for a donation of £1 (or more if you would like/are able to).
