Cutteslowe Community Larder

Every Wednesday from 2:00pm-4:00pm

The Larder is run by Cutteslowe Connected Church and the food at the larder is mainly supplied through local charity SOFEA and the generosity of the local community. Set up during COVID-19 lock down one, the Community Larder has since evolved from the simple provision of food to combat food poverty and reduce waste, into a hub for the Cutteslowe community. For just £4.50 per week, you can get a choice of 10+ food/grocery items – and enjoy meeting with other people in the community for a chat at our free pop-up cafe, outside the Community Centre from 1pm every Wednesday.

Membership provides benefits beyond the Larder, including access to the Hygiene Bank (where hygiene and cleaning products are available each week), the community café, the whole food dispenser (where people are given refillable containers to re fill with staple food each week) and access to community support and advice. Members pay a nominal monthly fee of £18 via direct debit to access a weekly shop and the opportunity to chat over free refreshments.

We have a growing team of over 50 volunteers who help lead, run, volunteer and deliver the community larder week by week. We are always on the lookout for volunteers who would like to come and join the team, serving our community. To run the Community Larder, Cutteslowe Connected Church work in partnership with CCA, SOFEA, the Oxford Hub and St Andrews Church. If you would like to contribute towards the regular provision of food essentials to our community in these times of relative hardship, find out how you can make a difference by volunteering – please contact tom.murray@standrewsoxford.org or giving https://www.cuttesloweconnected.org/give
