Once again, we were overwhelmed by the interest in our summer coach trips to the coast, with nearly 500 cumulative days out to the sea for our local residents. This summer, following a vote by our community, we travelled to Brighton, Barry Island and Southsea. Our passengers ranged in age from just six months to 92 years old, and a great day was had by all! Whether it was enjoying the funfair, swimming in the sea or simply drinking a coffee and watching the waves, there was something for everyone.
For many local residents, getting away for a day can be a real challenge – whether that’s because they don’t own a car, the cost of train travel is prohibitive, or they lack confidence to travel further afield independently. We work hard to make our coach trips both affordable and accessible, so that everyone in our community has the opportunity to enjoy a day out.
