Tunnicliffe Education Summer HAF Club

Tunnicliffe Education will be running a free summer holiday club for local children, with arts and crafts, outdoor games, nature activities and visits to Cutteslowe Greenhouse. Breakfast, lunch and snacks will be provided each day.

The club is part of Oxfordshire’s Holiday Activities and Food programme (HAF). Most free places are for children who receive benefits-related free school meals.

A limited number of places may also be available for children who are not eligible but would particularly benefit, including children with SEND, young carers, children receiving pastoral support or those with limited access to holiday activities.

The club is designed to help children make friends, build confidence and try new activities in their local community.

HAF places are primarily for children and young people who receive benefits-related free school meals. These places are fully funded, so there is no cost to families. Each HAF club also has a small number (15%) of places which can be offered to children who do not receive benefits-related free school meals but would still benefit from attending. This may include children with additional needs, children experiencing social isolation, families under financial pressure, or children who would benefit from a safe, structured, and positive holiday activity. In order This can include schools, family support workers, foodbanks, social workers, or other services working with the family. In order to get the child a place a professional from one of these services would have to email HAF@oxfordshire.gov.uk, justifying the need. In my experience this does not need to be longer than a few sentences.
