In May this year the Community Centre was delighted to play host to a very special celebration, as one of our long-standing supporters, former trustee, and true pillar of the community Juliet Field celebrated her 80th birthday with family and friends.
In true Juliet style, she invited her guests, instead of bringing presents, to make a donation to the Community Centre's Seniors Group. Thanks to the incredible generosity of everyone who attended, an amazing nearly £900 was raised to support our Seniors Group. These funds will help the Group to continue to provide opportunities for friendship, activities, and support for local residents.
This thoughtful gesture is a wonderful example of the community spirit she has shown in giving countless hours of her time, energy and dedication to supporting the Community Centre and the wider community, touching the lives of so many people; we are incredibly grateful for everything she has done. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks and warmest congratulations on this milestone birthday. What a wonderful way to celebrate 80 years—by giving something back to the community she has helped to build.
